the food. An ISO9001 certified manufacturer, the

LABEL & LITHO
(AURIBEE HONEY)
Passionate about two things – quality labels
and quality service – Label & Litho says its
award-winning labels are produce with the latest
printing technology to create labels customers
want with no compromise. That ethos seems to
have worked, as the company was a process
winner at the Pride in Print awards. Judges
say the company did an excellent print job
for Arribee Honey by “showcasing the New
Zealand grown and bottled honey. The label
was digitally printed in a wrap-around design
that added usual impact. A great job using a
clever technique to create a gold foil look with
digital print. The company specialises in labels
for food and beverage, beer and wine, industrial,
pharmaceutical and beauty.

GRAVURE PACKAGING (WELLINGTON)
Gravure Packaging has been named the printer of the
world’s best gravure process label by the L9 group of
international label associations. A shrink sleeve produced
for Melbourne’s Chobani yoghurt 170g tub saw GPL win
the Gravure Class in the L9’s prestigious World Label
Awards (WLA) competition, which is colloquially known
as the ‘technical Oscars of the global label industry’. GPL
managing director Greg Chapman says the WLA award
is great recognition for the development work invested in
improving the firm’s print quality, as well as its capabilities
to solve what are quite technical challenges in this
particular job. The Melbourne-based yoghurt manufacturer
is focused on producing the highest quality product, which
nicely aligns with GPL’s own culture. The shrink sleeve won
two gold medals at the New Zealand Pride In Print Awards,
including the Gravure Category. Labels are submitted for
the WLA awards from Europe, the United States, Japan,
India, China, Australia and New Zealand.
