MilkTestNZ is a world-leading
laboratory using highly automated
processes and advanced technology.
A range of microbiology, composition,
analytical and specialty tests are carried
out in the laboratory, which boasts an
operational set-up allowing for fast
throughput analysis of up to 25,000
samples per day.
A range of milk types are tested,
including cow, goat, sheep, buffalo
and deer milk. MilkTestNZ is a New
Zealand accredited laboratory adhering
to 17025 standards, and also holds
accreditation as a Reference Material
Producer. The company’s accreditation
is assessed and upheld by the national
accreditation body International
Accreditation New Zealand (IANZ),
is also an MPI-approved laboratory
and is recognised by the government
department under the Animal Products
Recognised Laboratory Programme
(RLP).
In addition to the standard milk tests
required for farmer payment and milk
quality purposes, MilkTestNZ has
expanded its testing scope to include
milk products and residue testing. This
extended capability is a result of the
strategic alliance that has been formed
with Analytica Laboratories.
MilkTestNZ has established itself as an
independent laboratory providing high
quality results with a rapid turnaround
time. Customers now have access to the
large number of tests which MilkTestNZ
and its strategic alliance partner offer,
including minerals, heavy metals, iodine,
DDE, antibiotic identification, detergent
residues, aflatoxin, fatty acids and
Mycoplasma bovis.
