SIMON GAULT
(FOOD ENTREPRENEUR)
Gault’s name is coupled with food
shows, competitions, television and
restaurants in general, but there’s more
to his activities than that. His company
Five Percent is the trading company for
the Simon Gault Home Cuisine brand of
stocks and seasonings, which boasts
a vast line-up of cooking products for
chicken, beef, vegetable, fish and lamb,
inspired by what is used in Italy, India,
Morocco and Mexico. His latest addition
is Gault’s Tomato Ketchup, which is
made using vegetables and tomatoes
sourced from New Zealand’s back
yard – what he calls a world-first tomato
sauce that is sweetened only with 100%
vegetables. “We don’t add any artificial
or flavour-tainting natural sweeteners
like stevia to it, so you can feel good
about eating ketchup without sacrificing
deliciousness,” he says. “It’s taken me
three years to make great-tasting tomato
ketchup – now that’s gotta be a good
thing, right?” www.simongault.com
KELVIN AND
CATHY HAIGH
(THE CHEESE BARN)
Kelvin and Cathy Haigh believe in keeping things
as simple and natural as possible. They get their
milk for their thriving cheese company from a
certified organic local-family farm, which in turn
takes great pride in providing a product that is
safe for customers and the environment…so
much so that all the cows have names! “Calving
is in the springtime and each calf is assigned not
only a number but a name as well. The bulls used
at mating time are kept on the farm year-round.
And yes...the bulls have names too!,” the Haighs
say. A certified organic factory, The Cheese Barn
doesn’t use artificial additives, antibiotics, growth
hormones or chemical sprays in its products,
which are unhomogenised, gluten-free and have
no GMO. The company’s cumin seed gouda was
crowned the 2018 Champion of Champions for
commercial cheese.

MONIQUE
BOLLAND
(NuZEST)
Health coach Bolland spent her early
years as a graphic designer and web
developer after graduating with a

the age of 22 – she was diagnosed
with Multiple Sclerosis, an incurable
autoimmune disease of the central
nervous system, which turned the
lives of herself and her family upside
down. When introduced to the
healing potential of good nutrition,
alternative therapies and a healthy
lifestyle, she went on to open a
successful alternative health spa
in Sydney before creating NuZest
with her father Trevor. The products
they offer are uniquely formulated as
some of the most advanced nutritional
supplements on the market,
bringing together nutritional science
and natural medicine.
