Born on a dairy farm in a small community outside
Whakatane, Wetere is chief executive of Canary Enterprises,
a manufacturer of value-added dairy and selected non-dairy
products which are supplied to customers locally, Australia,
the Pacific Islands, Asia and the Middle East – as well as
many airlines. The Waikato University alumni, who won her
first manager role at the age of 26, is an Export Waikato
committee member and is passionate about exporting and
New Zealand brands on the world stage.

Innovation team. She specialises in all areas
of trade mark law and is a food standards
advisory expert, well versed in product labeling
and advertising compliance. Stephanie regularly
educates the sector on how to strategically
capture the commercial value from their IP and
export their brands across the globe.

Baxter is an experienced business development
manager with a demonstrated history of working
in sales management and product development in
the food and beverage industry to help food clients
to innovate and commercialise their products. With
experience in food science, meant and bakery, he
has a PhD in food science from the University of
Humberside. He has worked for Fonterra and Kerry
