LEAD THE WORLD
This year’s winners of the premier Sustainable
Food Awards have been announced in Amsterdam
by Ecovia Intelligence, recognising international
operators who are helping build a sustainable
food industry. Entries for 2018 came from every
continent, with the winners and runners-up selected
by a jury comprising a natural beverage firm,
multi-national food company, packaging materials
supplier, media and research agencies.

Tea Estates in Sri Lanka
– the first certified climate-neutral
teas that are marketed in European
retail - with its uncompensated carbon
neutral teas produced in the ‘Golden
Valley’ of Ceylon. Runner-up is Coop
Switzerland with its insect-based food
products including insect burgers,
balls and bars that provide a sustainable
alternative to conventional meatbased
products.
