 RETHINKING SUSTAINABLE BUSINESS
 The COVID-19 pandemic and
 subsequent lockdown has given
us all the opportunity to pause and
consider what we want the world to
look like in the future. Suddenly we
have all been forced to reconsider
 what’s important to us, what
 systems work, which ones are
broken and how we want to move
 forward.
As the voice for the New Zealand
 food and beverage manufacturing
industry since 1965, we want to
 reflect what is most important
to those in this sector. Before
 COVID-19 arrived on our shores
this issue was always going to
focus on sustainability, and now it
seems more important than ever to
 continue these conversations.
 For many, the pandemic has
 brought about a whole new
 meaning to the word sustainability.
While some are taking this time to
 reconsider their processes, others
are focussed on the overall survival
of their businesses, and some are
realising the two go hand in hand.
 In the current situation, many
 businesses are having to
 completely rethink the way
they operate to keep up with
 consumer demands under trying
 circumstances while operating in
a way that aligns with company
 values.
With this in mind, this Create Clean
issue will focus on education and
 provide a platform for companies
to talk about the challenges they
 are facing around sustainability,
what that means to them and how
 they plan to move forward.
 So, whether COVID-19 is changing
 the way you’re doing business
 or whether its highlighted what’s
important, let us tell your stories,
 and together let’s create a
 sustainable future.
