GETTING A GRIP ON
PREMIUM NUTS
It might sound nuts to say it, but Auckland’s Premium Nuts Ltd
knows all there is to know about nuts. Headed up by sales director
Greg Bain, the company represents several Australian processors
in the nut and dried fruit industry, and is not only the expert in the
industry but offers best prices by cutting out the middle-man.
Bain achieves this by directly invoicing
clients from each individual processor.
“That means no middle-man mark-up,
and clients are working directly with those
producing the ingredients,” Bain – who
has worked within the nut industry for 21
years – says.
As sales executive and representative
for each principal company, Bain offers
product knowledge and client service.
The Australian nut and dried fruit
manufacturers can get their products
to New Zealand clients promptly, with
convenient lead times. “Shipping is often
only three days to New Zealand from the
Eastern Seaboard,” Bain says.

Peanut Company of Australia – this
company has the reputation for the best
peanuts in the world, with great flavour
and 100% Hi Oleic. Processing raw,
blanched and roasted peanuts that are
grown in some of the richest soils in the

sought after by a large customer base in
Australasia and around the world. The
new season commences April 2019.
Suncoast Gold Macadamias - operating
as a co-operative, SGM has a reputation
around the world for quality and great
client service. Macadamias are available
in most size grades, with the new season
commencing from May 2019. The SGM
factory utilises the latest technology to
meet highest quality standards…a great

blanched, slivered, sliced, chopped…it
can all be provided.
A range of almond and other nut pastes
are also available. Geographically diverse,
the company’s almond orchards include

Sunbeam Fruits - based in the Riverina
District, Sunbeam is the latest company
to join the Premium Nuts Ltd stable.
Sunbeam has been processing dried fruit
for 90 years, boasting 20,000 tonnes of
dried fruit processed and packed annually.
Its vine fruit includes sultanas, currants
and lexia raisins. In tree fruit, the company
produces prunes, apricots, peaches and
other stone fruit. With a unique drying
process, its vine fruit products do not
touch the ground, so there is no issue
with stones and sands. The fruits are
plump, juicy and very clean; natural with
no sulphur added, giving premium quality.
The new season commences March 2019.
