SAVE WITH EUROPRESS
Factory shutdowns are often a time of pressure
for engineering and maintenance managers,
site supervisors, and contractors. Many are left
wondering how they will achieve the required work
on time and within budget.
Prior to a major tank extension, Pernod Ricard did
a trial to compare the savings Europress offered
compared to welding the stainless-steel pipework.
The installed cost for welding came to $24,800 and
Europress came to $20,000 per tank, a saving of
19.35% per tank.
However, although Europress saved Pernod Ricard
37% on the project installation cost, the biggest
saving was actually Europress being 58% faster to
install allowing them to commence full production
over two months earlier than expected if they had
used welded pipework.
Similarly, Tegel Foods found they gained an
additional hour per day of installation time through
not having to complete hot work permits, and no
fire watch, or down-time during cooling periods.
