Ifm’s DTE solution brings users a
cost-effective way to implement RFID
into a plant. The technology is widely
used in conveying and pallet tracking
applications globally. An ifm/DTE
RFID system is capable of reading
and writing data at high speeds,
connecting to all common plc’s and
located around the country. They are
ready to listen to your needs and offer
practical, cost effective solutions.

industrial bus systems.
The robust DTE controller contains
a built-in web-based tool for device
setup, diagnosis and monitoring. Set
up maybe done from a user’s desk
- without connection to a field bus
system. Hence, the system can be
fully tested prior to installation.
No external software is necessary
for configuring. And ifm’s compact
RFID antennas are ideal where
space is restricted. The read/write
antennas are simply connected to
the DTE controller with M12 jumper
cables. ID tags (transponders) can
be easily mounted onto pallets or
product “carriers”. Information is
quickly exchanged from the ID tag
and the read/write antenna, then
transferred to the DTE controller.
