Heavy Engineering
in New Zealand
From small beginnings in 1868 producing flax processing machines in
Princess Street Onehunga, A & G Price quickly expanded by opening their second foundry and iron works at
Beach Road in Thames, following the discovery of Gold and the ensuing gold rush.

becoming one of the largest fully capable engineering works in New Zealand, with its 3D drafting department,
Pattern making, Foundry, Heat Treatment, Machining, Fabrication, Fitting, NDT and Paint shops there is no job
that the dedicated team at A & G Price won’t look at taking on.
A unique feature of the A & G Price one stop engineering works is the full capability foundry offering a wide
range of materials, certified to international standards or custom made to suit your specific requirements.
