Innovative baked goods manufacturer
Baker Boys was keen to integrate
the capsules into the development
of its smart factory. General manager
Dean Boston instantly identified the
benefits of the capsule in its intensive
bakery operation where “everything
in the past has been limited to
what one operator can lift. We go
through hundreds of plastic bags
that hold pre-baked biscuit crumb
for three-to-four days as part of our
production process. It is important to
us that we are efficient and reduce
environmental waste.”
Partnering for success
Effective from July 2018, FoodCap
has appointed Auckland-based
equipment manufacturer Simpro as
the New Zealand distributor. Together,
this partnership offers end-to-end
handling solutions. Simpro will focus
on introducing the technology to New
Zealand processors, while FoodCap
will focus on new product research
and development supported by
Callaghan Innovation, and offshore
expansion into North and South
America supported by New Zealand
Trade and Enterprise (NZTE).
