Vikan UST brushware took
five years to develop and
exceeds the requirements
of the most critical of high care
food processing environments.
Vikan UST brushware also exceeds
any standards of safety without
the use of non-EU food contact
approved resins, as found in some
resin set brushware. It is expected
the food processing industry will
move away from resin set brushes,
as they are not fully colour-coded
or moulded, use toxic resins that
are not recyclable and are generally
of a poor hygienic design.
Through the design of the ingenious
Filament Security Units,
Vikan UST brushware delivers the
most secure filament retention
available, as the finished product is
effectively a ‘one-piece hot moulded
brush’ (handle and filaments).
Furthermore, the clever spacing
of the bristles / filament security
units make the product extremely
easy to clean, sanitise and inspect.
All products have been validation
tested and the cleaning efficacy
is excellent. All UST brushes are
autoclavable / can be sterilised at
up to 140o C in temperature. Vikan
UST brushware is fully colour-coded
and available in nine colours.
The British Food Safety peak body,
the Society of Food Hygiene and
Technology (SOFHT), recently
named Vikan UST brushware as
winner of the annual Best New
Product or Service award in Europe.
