STOCKCAP PROTECTIVE
CAPS AND PLUGS
Hi-Q Components has been the New Zealand distributor for Stockcap protective products manufactured by
Sinclair & Rush Pty Ltd in Australia since 2002.
The Stockcap range covers a wide choice of protective plastic caps and plugs for many protective
applications including, high temp masking, shipping protection, contamination control and health and safety.
For high temp paint masking, there is a large range of polyester tape/discs and silicone caps and plugs for
powder coating. There are also EPDM caps and plugs for electroplating.
For automotive, aviation and hydraulics, there is a wide range threaded and non-threaded caps and plugs
that will fit BSP, JIC, and metric threads. The popular non-threaded T-Plug range has a tapered design
which allows them to be used as a cap or plug.

Tufcot is a composite engineering material
manufactured from synthetic fibres and
thermosetting resins.
All grades of Tufcot are available with solid
lubricant incorporated.
The various grades contain either graphite, PTFE
or molybdenum disulphide dispersed evenly
throughout the material, so that the wear of a
components surface continually releases further
lubricant.
Tufcot offers the design engineer an attractive
alternative to traditional materials used
throughout industry for bushes, bearings, wear
pads, and many more applications.
Tufcot is a highly recommended composite
material for use where other forms of lubricant
are either not desirable, intermittent or nonexistent.
In addition, in numerous cases where the
maintenance of lubricant films is difficult this type
of material has been found to give improved
performance.
The main benefits include: self-lubrication,
no maintenance, high strength to weight
ratio, minimal swell in water, low friction, easy
installation.
The grade T100, in particular, has an extremely
low rate of moisture absorption and therefore
negligible dimensional change, making it ideally
suitable for use in submerged water applications.
PROJECT-BASED ENGINEERING
RESOURCE WHEN AND WHERE YOU NEED IT
Caliber Design is a mechanical design consultancy that provides project-based design
engineering services.
“Our team of highly skilled and experienced engineers are based in Auckland, Hamilton,
and Christchurch. We work with some of New Zealand’s most well-known and successful
businesses,” says the company.
Why use project-based engineering resource?
• Reduced costs – only pay for design resource when it’s required.
• Targeted resource – get the specific skills you need, when you need them.
• No overheads – no recruitment or overhead costs.
• Faster time to market – quicker product development through short term use of expert
design resource.
