ENERPAC
MOBILE
CALIBRATION
SYSTEM
ENHANCES BOLTING
SAFETY, PRECISION
A compact and portable
new mobile calibration
system is being
introduced by Enerpac
to enhance the precision, safety
and standards compliance of
electric and pneumatic controlled
force bolting tools used in diverse
locations throughout Australia, New
Zealand and Papua New Guinea.
The MCS series mobile calibration
system – which is equally at home
in the field, in a vehicle, on a marine
platform, in an aircraft or on-site –
accurately calibrates torque wrench
outputs from 200-10,000 Nm (148-
7375 ft lb) and stores test results
and certificates for later printing,
reference and traceability.
The MCS’ heavy duty adjustable
reaction block facilitates use with
Enerpac pneumatic and electric
continuous rotation tools widely
used throughout Australasia, as well
as with a wide range of different
brands, says Enerpac regional
bolting leader Andrew Marsh. The
system weighs under 35kg, or under
40kg with the optional case.
“The MCS is designed for situations
where precision, versatility and
performance matter, including
multiple bolt applications where
even, measurable and traceable
consistency is required for
structural integrity and safety,” says
Mr Marsh.
The MCS comes with integrated
software that allows multiple
runs to be recorded, graphed,
displayed or printed using any
computer equipped with Microsoft
Windows. The software package
also facilitates the creation of
calibration tests results using
pre-set or operator-designated
calibration parameters. When the
job is finished, the calibration test
results or certificates can be printed
or stored electronically for future
reference.
Features also include:
• Certificate Manager feature that
enables quick and easy creation of
calibration certificates
• Tool database feature that
allows specific wrench data and
calibration results to be recorded
and saved for future use
• Integrated digital interface that
enables torque values to be
displayed, saved, printed or
transferred to a computer
• A truly portable unit that is
powered by an internal Li-ion
battery pack and external power
source via 5V DC USB power
supply
The new MCS features the rugged
design and comprehensive national
backup for which Enerpac is widely
respected – as well as being part
of the extensive Enerpac range of
professional bolting technology
from the one convenient source, all
with global standards of reliability,
safety compliance and traceability,
says Mr Marsh.
