Eurofins Food Analytics NZ LTD
(Eurofins) has continued to invest
in mass spectroscopic technology
for testing food and dairy products
since 2014. Recently an additional
LC-MSMS has been purchased
and this new instrument has
been dedicated to the analysis of
micronutrients in food and dairy
products.
The primary drivers for this
ongoing investment are:
1) Improved accuracy of analysis
2) Positive confirmation of analyte
identity
3) Greater efficiency and
turnaround time
The first micronutrient assay
validated by Eurofins and
accredited by International
Accreditation New Zealand
(IANZ) was for free and total

It’s difficult for a company to know the exact
quality and content of forklift training when
they send an operator on a refresher course.
Did the operator understand the materials?
Did the trainer cover all relevant concepts?
Will the operator remember what was
taught?
An online forklift certificate course produced
by Tasman Training and available via DT
Driver Training’s driver education website
enables a company’s owner, health and
safety manager or training manager to
monitor a forklift operator’s performance and
results as they work through 16 modules
that teach forklift theory.
The modules contain high-quality video,
animation, images, photos and voiceover
followed by questions to assess the
operator’s understanding. As the modules
are available via a computer or smartphone,
they can be taken in-house, whenever it’s
convenient for the operator, making it much
simpler for a company to schedule forklift
training in slower periods and to track and
act on the results immediately.

High performance in water and dust contaminated
environments, NSK’s environmentally-friendly
Molded-Oil bearings offer high performance in
severe water and dust contaminated environments.
Molded-Oil bearings are designed to prevent
damaging liquids such as water (which can wash
the lubricating grease out) and dust from getting
inside the bearings. Sealed ball bearings can be
used in environments exposed directly to water
and dust where bearing damage is dramatically
accelerated. There is no risk of grease leakage
in critical clean applications. They are also ideal
for applications in which bearing are exposed to
large quantities of liquids such as water. Corrosion
resistance and operating life can be further
enhanced by using long-life, corrosion-resistant
stainless steel (NSK’s ES1).
Available in deep groove ball, spherical roller and
self-aligning insert ball bearings.

Carnitine. Eurofins has completed
the validation of the method for
analysis of Folic Acid and Biotin
in dairy products. Application for
accreditation of the method was
made in March.
In the near future Eurofins will be
developing and validating methods
for the rest of the water soluble
and fat soluble vitamins.
