EXPERIENCE,
EXPERTISE
MOVES FOOD IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION
There are many solutions for moving
unpackaged or packaged products
along a production line but there’s
a bit of an art to knowing which
solution will increase productivity,
protect produce and create
efficiencies.
EQM has vast experience in
finding the optimum solution and
recommending the best type of
conveyor. Anthony Bloxham of
EQM says they recently worked
with a food company that makes
pre-packed salads. The company
purchased a new vegetable
shredding machine and needed to
maximise production beyond what
manual loading could achieve.
“They needed a stainless steel,
hygienic and mobile elevating
conveyor system to feed product
at a constant rate to achieve
production. A standard N-Track
conveyor was modified to elevate at
a 40 degree angle to reduce floor
footprint. It was fitted with a hopper
designed to match the plastic crates
used to handle the produce and
make it easy and ergonomic for
loading,” says Mr Bloxham.
The processed salad would then
drop out into crates on a gravity
roller conveyor so that as one crate
filled the next one followed and so
on, with no stopping of the machine
required to swap the crates.
EQM has built a reputation of
designing, constructing and installing
high performance turnkey solutions.
If you’ve got a production challenge,
EQM is ready to tackle it.
