Kennards Hire
backs the national
game
Family-owned equipment hire
group, Kennards Hire, is the
newest sponsors for Rugby
Southland and North Harbour
Rugby as they take to the field
in 2018’s Mitre 10 Cup National
Provincial Competition.
As the back of jersey sponsor

and side of jersey sponsor for
Rugby Southland, Kennards Hire
employees and their families
across the country will be
cheering for their clubs as the
league goes into full swing, with
both teams vying for a place in
the championship final.
Tom Kimber, general manager of
Kennards Hire New Zealand, says,
“Rugby is our country’s pride and
joy, and it’s great that we can
show the community how much
we care, not only about their
teams, but the people that make
these communities so lively.”
David Gibson, general manager
of North Harbour Rugby, has high
hopes for the Hibiscus’ newfound
partnership, saying Kennards
Hire’s backing allows them to
continue to drive an environment
that grows people to succeed,
both on and off the field.
As the 2018 season progresses,
Kennards Hire will continue to
help nurture Rugby Southland and
North Harbour Rugby along with
their respective communities,
supporting both teams in their
journey to the ultimate goal of
winning this year’s Mitre 10 Cup
- New Zealand’s highest level of
national competition.
Hydraulink moves to protect industry from stoppages
Hydraulink is continuing to invest in
strong inventory of hoses, fittings,
adaptors and accessories to ensure
thousands of customers throughout
Asia-Pacific are not held up by a global
shortage of hydraulic hose manufacturing
capacity.
Hydraulink NSW state manager Mark
Andrews says a significant amount of
quality Hydraulink branded product
was added to Australasian inventory
this month.
Mr Andrew says this was to sure up
things and to provide certainty of supply
to major industry customer groups
involved in areas such as construction
and infrastructure, recycling wastes,
earthworks and civil engineering, agriculture,
mining, energy, oil and gas,
materials handling, ports, transport,
manufacturing, food and beverage distribution,
utilities and public works.
“Many thousands of individual stock
items were added to inventory throughout
the region in recent months, because
a shortage of standard and
custom hydraulic hose and fitting components
can bring even the largest and
most sophisticated machinery to a total
standstill,” he says.

to its range of free d-i-y learning modules,
to help its members develop their
skills and keep up with the latest trends
and innovations within the industry.
The ‘Essentials’ courses take the form
of simple, self-paced learning modules
covering key areas such as IoT, motor
control and power management. Each
module is designed to be short enough
to be fully completed in around one
hour, ending with a quiz that members
can complete to validate their learning's

devices, starting with a module
focused on the essentials of programmable
logic covering Boolean algebra,
Logic Gates, Sequential Circuits, HDL
and more. The course is sponsored by
Xilinx.
Other popular Essentials Courses include
Smart Power Distribution, Industrial
IOT and Power Fundamentals for
