BOLSTERED HYDRAULINK
WHANGAREI STEPS UP 24/7
The branch enters 2019 as a fully owned
subsidiary of the Australasian Hydraulink
organisation – the latest of eight fully
owned branches in growth regions – receiving
additional resources to expand its local role within
the Hydraulink family of more than 400 service
outlets across Australasia
“Hydraulink Whangarei has built up an enviable
reputation for prompt, can-do, 24/7 service during
its 18 years as a distributor operation. We are
already highly respected for providing services and
quality products delivered promptly, as and when
customers need them, where they need them,
and with rigorous uniform safety and Standards
compliance under the one industry-leading brand.
"This one-stop uniformity of high standards will
be a keystone of our next phase of growth in
the diverse Northland market,” says Dale Clarke,
branch sales manager, Hydraulink Whangarei.
The existing Whangarei HQ team of techs, service
and admin service staff is being reinforced and
expanded under its new structure, with new
appointments, expanded training, new products
and new services, such as new fire suppression
technologies, new Motultech lubrication technologies
and Karcher cleaning technologies.
These new products and services complement
Hydraulink’s well established reputation for
dependable, cost-effective expertise extending
across all aspects of the supply and maintenance
of hydraulic hoses, fittings, adaptors and
accessories, says Mr Clarke.
Strong support for distributors
The expanded Hydraulink operation will also give
strong support to its mobile distribution network
extending from Warkworth to Kaitiaia, the operators
of which go out to farms, forests, mines, ports and
other widespread and sometimes remote locations
in especially-equipped 4WD vehicles.
“Due to the nature of our business, our versatile
network of mobile techs need to go off-road and
to remote places often. These situations are where
it is our great advantage to have 4WD utes, as
opposed to standard trucks, because of the accessibility
and reduced downtime they offer,” says
Mr Clarke. New products and services and rapid
supply of essential hydraulic hoses and fittings
for both JQ and mobile services will be enhanced
under the new structure.
Hydraulink Whangarei services diverse machinery,
including ‘dozers, diggers, excavators, civil
engineering machinery, farm and forestry
harvesting equipment, trucks and rail equipment,
mining technology, loaders and heavy diesel and
processing equipment on-site and at its Ruamanga
HQ.
Backing for local team
“This new investment in the region is a strong
vote of confidence in the growth of Northland and
the calibre of our team here servicing machinery
essential to major industries, including agribusiness,
civil engineering, construction, food and beverage,
heavy diesel, forestry harvesting and transport,
mining, quarries, petrochemical and ports, shipping,
transport and industrial and municipal infrastructure,”
says Hydraulink New Zealand national sales
and service manager Chris Cox. He adds that the
ongoing growth of the brand throughout Northland
builds on strengths such as quality product and
prompt expert service from the wide range of
dedicated and highly skilled people who drive the
company as an innovator and market leader.
The Whangarei branch also supports major
innovations such as:
• Hydraulink Automat lubrication systems for
labour-saving enhancement of reliability, plus a full
range of Motultech oils and lubricants
• Hydratag hose management systems to improve
productivity and operational reliability
• Hydraulink fire suppression systems to protect
machinery and productivity
• And a unique feature of Hydraulink Whangarei,
which is a fully stocked Karcher supply and
service agency, encompassing product extending
from water blasters to commercial steam
cleaners, sweepers and comprehensive product
across Karcher’s vast range
Mr Cox says the ongoing growth of the brand
throughout Northland and Australasia will come
from strengths such as local knowledge, innovation,
and expanding expertise.
