This is an ideal solution for plant operators to view process values on a machine, especially when the sensors are mounted in an inaccessible position or well away from easy access. Using smart process sensors from ifm and controlled by the system plc, the E30391 process display is a cost-effective ‘plug and play’ solution that can be added to an existing machine during an upgrade, or a new application employing IO-Link Smart sensors…irrespective of the brand. The display may read up to four different sensor process values or texts with units and useful description. The unit is controlled by a PLC via IO-Link, and displays process values, freely defined texts, messages and QR codes. Clear text and a colour change of text and background guarantee a quick overview. By means of buttons, the user can trigger control actions of the PLC, or acknowledge messages. The E30430 IO-Link inline display is installed between sensor and IO-Link master. It receives process values directly from the sensor. No PLC programming is required, and it displays up to four process values and two switching states. For ifm units operated in the IOLink mode, it is a plug-and-play solution. Alternatively, texts and settings can be pre-determined via an IO-Link device tool such as LR DEVICE.
