2020 DIGITAL CONFERENCE
A three, half-day (9.30am-12.30pm each
day) digital conference on practical actions
to get industry moving again and reduce
emissions is coming up with Benoit Lebot
(formerly executive director of the IPEEC) a
keynote speaker.
Also of note, will be Dr Matthias Raab,
COO of CO2CRC from Melbourne.
The conference also features speakers
from Fonterra, Watercare, MFAT, NZGIF,
NNEDC, Deta Consulting, Toitu Envirocare,
AUT and more to be announced.
Conference overview:
Day 1 (9th June) - Industry opportunities in
a post COVID-19 environment
Day 2 (10th June) - Sustainable solutions
Day 3 (11th June) - Innovations.
Cost are $400 (+GST) for all three
sessions, or $150 (+GST) for individual
sessions.
Registrations include the flexibility to review
sessions after the conference for those
unable to attend all presentations on the
day.

NEW TANK MIXING EDUCTOR MEANS
LESS SPACE AND GREATER POWER
Mixing tanks come in a variety of sizes and for small
and shallow tanks it can be challenging to find a
mixing eductor that fits. But now there’s a solution
with the introduction of a new ovoid-shaped eductor.
Better yet, the space saving design does not
compromise on performance and can reduce energy
consumption due to its design efficiency.
Using a unique venturi design, the UPB ovoid-shaped
eductors can circulate large volumes of tank solution
using a smaller pump. In fact, the Italian designed
UPB eductor can circulate 4-5 litres of solution for
every litre pumped.
The UPB ovoid eductors are installed at the bottom of
the tank and are suitable for a variety of uses including
mixing chemicals, suspending solids, adjusting pH
and “sweeping” debris or sludge towards a filter intake.
These eductors are maintenance free as they have no
moving parts. The pump is installed outside the tank
providing easy access for servicing and maintenance.
The new ovoid UPB eductors come in 2 different
chemically resistant materials – a neutral PVDF or a
combination of polypropylene with 30% fiberglass
(referred to as PP). They also come with a choice of 3
different internal free passage sizes – 3mm, 4mm or
5mm.
The PVDF version is suitable for temperatures up
to 90oC while the PP version can accommodate
temperatures up to 80oC. The number of eductors
required in each tank will depend on the characteristics
of the application and the required turnover rate.
The UPB ovoid eductors are
designed and manufactured
by PNR Italia and are
exclusively available from
Tecpro Australia. There are
many different types and
styles of eductors in
the marketplace; let
Tecpro’s technical
consultants
advise you on
the right style,
size and number
of eductors for your
application.
As we start to return to work and school with concerns about
a second wave, there is a new disinfection system available to
protect staff and visitors as they enter your premises.
New from Italy is a disinfection tunnel. It’s a temporary outdoor
awning that extends from your regular building entrance. Its
purpose is to automatically spray a disinfection solution which is
harmless to people, clothing and bags, but deadly to bacteria and
viruses.
There is no sensation of wetting and no pooling of liquids around
the area because the nozzles emit a fine water mist that is
deposited on all surfaces, before quickly evaporating.
The Disinfection Tunnel is designed for use in front of a variety of
entrances such as airport terminals, hospitals, hotels, restaurants,
businesses and public buildings such as libraries, galleries and
museums. It can also be used at the entrances to events, fairs,
public swimming pools etc.
The standard dimensions of the disinfection tunnel are 2.5m (H) x
1.5m (W) x 3m (L). However, these dimensions can be adapted to
fit your needs and the architecture of your entrance.
The Disinfection Tunnel can be assembled in about 15 minutes.
Simply connect it to your main water supply and a power outlet.
Included with the tunnel are:
• A waterproof, robust tarpaulin
• Stainless steel supports
• A line of stainless-steel spray nozzles
• High pressure fogging pump
• 5L canister to hold the disinfectant
• An automatic dosing pump
Switching cabinet with light sensor and time relay to ensure the
whole system works automatically and efficiently.
