S T O C K TA K E WELLER SOLDERING TRUSTED TECHNOLOGY If you’re looking to increase productivity and reduce costs then Weller soldering equipment is the trusted technology you can turn to. The latest technology Weller workstations are so efficient the power savings alone can be enough to justify purchasing. With smart technology in the soldering pencils and connectivity through to connected devices such as fume extraction, thermal tweezers and desoldering tools, the Weller system only works when needed with almost instant heat from standby mode. Available as single or double stations and with soldering pencils from 55-200 watts, these systems can be tailored for a wide variety of electronics manufacturing and repair work. david@ronenright.co.nz | www.ronenright.co.nz | Phone 09 5277021 50 August 2017 AUTOMATE ELECTRICAL DESIGN PROCESSES WITH EPLAN If you spend all day designing automation solutions to help make industry more productive, isn’t it time you did the same for yourself and automated your own work processes to make your design work easier, quicker and more efficient? Enter Ecodesign. The company has over 20 years’ experience in electrical and automation design and is the official distributor for Eplan. “We can offer you an array of solutions, tailored to drastically reduce your design costs,” says the company. “We can help automate your design processes using Eplan P8 and our in-house development. This results in automatically generated schematic drawings and reports.” Key benefits of design automation include drastically reduced labour costs, errorfree schematic drawings, reduced manufacturing time, automated report/ documentation generation, reusable designs for future design, as well as huge cost savings all round. Eplan Cogineer adds a new dimension and simplifies the changeover to automated working methods by enabling you to generate electrical and fluid power schematics at the push of a button - without requiring expert knowledge, specialist programming ability or extensive training. This results in high consumption of both energy and coolants. Well known industrial air cleaning manufacturer Reven, now offers a solution to this problem with a new digital power controller, the XSC (X-cyclone speed control). Sensor technology measures the machining environment of the machine tool whilst the intelligent control unit adjusts the suction power continuously via ventilation valves and an optional frequency converter with a micro computer and algorithms. Power consumption can be halved and thanks to a patented Venturi ventilation and condensation system, the separation efficiency can be increased up to 50%. Furthermore, the XSC system extends the maintenance intervals for filter cleaning and also the filter service life. A pressure and flow sensor also detects the door state of the machine. If the door is opened, the suction power rises and ensures a stable vacuum in the work area of the machine tool. This prevents coolants particles from leaving the machine. www.dimac.com.au
