ASH AIR CONGRATULATES EMIRATES TEAM NEW ZEALAND To say we’re stoked with the 2017 win of The Americas Cup by Emirates Team New Zealand is an understatement. It is as much a relief as a celebration. Ash Air has stood by this team through many campaigns, thick and thin, win and loss. We felt the pain of failures alongside the team and at every loss, we recommitted ourselves anew to supporting for the next challenge every time. Two and a half years ago, Emirates Team New Zealand was in a diabolical financial situation. There was simply not enough money to pay staff let along build a boat. It was time again for Ash Air to commit, and we did. Meeting up again with Andy Nottage and Sean Regan and several other long-term members of the team soon infected us at Ash Air. There was something special in this lead up. There was a culture within this team that was infectious and obvious. This team had a determination and confidence derived of strong passion and the full commitment of every member to succeed. We felt it and immediately committed ourselves to suppling all new gear for the 2017 campaign. Ash Air supplied a new Chicago pneumatic CPA20/8 fully featured 15kW screw compressor, a handful of small piston air compressors and around a dozen oil lubricated vacuum pumps. Ash Air installed this equipment and a new compressed air reticulation and treatment system that could be quickly pulled down and installed in Bermuda. We sent Emirates Team New Zealand off to Bermuda with fully serviced equipment with the confidence it wouldn’t let them down. It didn’t. This equipment was used to build and repair the boats and equipment that won the 2017 America’s Cup. We can confirm that our equipment performed
