The Food Safety Culture Award and the Primary Sector Products Award raise the profile of high-performing businesses and products, and the Ministry is asking food and bever- age companies to put their names forward. Plants, Food and Environment director Peter Thomson says the two awards epitomise the Ministry’s focus on ensuring all consumers get safe and suitable food. Entries are now open until Friday, July 15, and he is encouraging companies to nominate themselves. “The awards are a great way for businesses to get recognition for the work they do either in food safety or primary production innovation… or both,” he says. Food Safety Culture Award: This award is open to all food and beverage companies that can demonstrate they have a strong food safety culture throughout all aspects of their operations, and up and down their supply chains.
