DETA CONSULTING Deta Consulting isn’t just another project delivery company.  The firm works to improve clients’ businesses by helping identify, scope and deliver optimisation projects. It cut its teeth in energy efficiency and is now delivering process and yield improvement, waste reduction and new process technology projects across the industrial spectrum from meat to milk, wood to food, and everything in between. Most of Deta’s clients are long term. An example is ANZCO Foods which has achieved its energy reduction targets over the past five years with 32 Annual Directory 2017 the assistance of Deta. To date Deta has helped ANZCO eliminate more than 89GWh in energy and 92,500m³ of water per annum from its bottom line.  These results led to ANZCO winning the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority’s (EECA) 2016 ‘Energy Management Award’. And Deta’s efforts didn’t end there – it’s still helping ANZCO to further optimise business. The company is also at the forefront of new technology in the form of a plan to install a hot water heat pump at Heller’s Kaiapoi site to reduce DONOVAN GROUP Donovan Group NZ owns the nationwide franchise network Coresteel Buildings and runs Coresteel’s head office in conjunction with Shed Fix, Design Station and Donovan Group Manufacturing from its base in Whangarei. Together these companies provide a complete steel building system, including design, engineering, manufacturing, construction and custom built software for design and project management. The group is on the brink of a major growth phase which will see its offices, manufacture capabilities, workforce and technical services expand considerably over the next 18 months. In addition to its existing subsidiaries, it is working towards the 2017 release of a new residential building system and a second franchise network. The group enjoys the renown of being a leader in the steel building industry as a result of its patented bracketless portal system and tapered box beam structural system, which are sold via Coresteel Buildings. To date it has made significant investments in engineering and project management software, Constructor, which drives Coresteel Buildings. It is also further developing software for its second franchise network, which is seeing a new in-house software development team taking shape, which will take progress to a new level. The group is spearheaded by directors Brett Donovan, Kyle Donovan and Tim Williams. ENERCON Enercon, an energy and utility consultancy established in 2004, employs a team of five engineers, four of which are accredited energy auditors. Its two most senior engineers, Kees Brinkman and Sam Roose, have combined experience of over 45 years in adding value and achieving energy cost savings for industrial, institutional and commercial clients. Since its beginnings Enercon, which later became a division of LTH in 2013, has identified around $30 million worth of cost-effective annual savings for its customers. The company does this through identifying and managing the implementation of energy saving opportunities and associated building and process improvements. It provides specialist energy consultancy to all existing and potential customers and is specifically adept in areas which require experienced investigation and analysis and innovative tailored solutions. Energy audits and management, design advice and specification, implementation assistance, feasibility studies, project management, and commissioning and verification of projected savings are all skills and tools Enercon has at its disposal for optimal results. To date it has developed a strong record for identifying and specifying implementable and operationally successful solutions with verified energy savings regularly following targeted savings. By optimising buildings and systems for energy efficiency, comfort and control, Enercon effectively preserves thermal fuel consumption and reduce site carbon emissions.  The high temperature heat pump delivers 65°C water to the plant at a total system coefficient of performance of 7.0.   This system, one of the first projects of its kind, won the Innovation Award at the 2016 EECA Awards.
