THERE’S ONLY ‘ONE FINANCE’
SPECIALIST YOU NEED
Since 2002, when One Finance entered the market as a
specialist machinery financier, the company has assisted
an array of New Zealand businesses to buy machinery
from local dealers or through direct importation.
“The experience we bring to the table is something our
clients, underwriters and machinery dealers have come
to appreciate,” says One Finance co-director, Graham
Patterson.
“The funny thing is that finance is not rocket science,
yet finance is a vast and vital necessity that affects every
facet of our lives.”
Mr Patterson says that when looking for a finance
partner – be it in the world of equities, forex, derivatives,
mortgages, investments or asset purchases – it pays to
look for a specialist.
“As finance brokers we offer a service that is not
constrained by one set of credit criteria as we source
funds from a range of lenders. This benefits our clients
as we seek to gain the best possible ‘market deal’ for
them,” says Mr Patterson.
It doesn’t matter if it be plant or machinery finance or
even insurance, One Finance makes it a directive to get
to know and understand its clients’ businesses.
“If you’d like to build an old-fashioned business
relationship with financiers who will value your custom,
then we look forward to hearing from you.”

WHAT PLASTIC SHOULD I USE?
With the ever increasing acceptance of plastics in
the engineering world, the question of “What is the
best material to use?” is frequently asked.
Often engineers use what has been successful in
previous projects or use whatever material or brand
name they have heard about from someone else.
When it comes to deciding what the best material
for a given application is, many parameters must
be taken into consideration. These would include
operating temperature, load capacity, chemical
environments, electrical resistance, contamination
from dust and dirt, food product contact,
dimensional stability, abrasion resistance, to name
a few.
Applications where plastics have been used
successfully in New Zealand industry are very broad
and in some cases could be considered
extreme.
Deciding what is the most suitable
product to use, could be a combination
of several factors. The best material
may be the most expensive but when it
lasts significantly longer than anything else,
the real cost may be less than other cheaper
products. Or the product could be designed as a
consumable sacrificial item that protects another
more valuable part.
Whatever your application Macplas Ltd has had
50 years of plastics and engineering industry
experience in New Zealand and Europe. Your
product inquiries are welcomed and design help is
offered unreservedly.
