42 October 2017 M A C H I N E R Y JFY RANGE: GERMAN ENGINEERING AT THE RIGHT PRICE The JFY range of CNC machinery is now available in New Zealand and fills the void in the marketplace for a quality, German-engineered brand at a price point that is ideal for midtier manufacturers. “JFY is an independent brand and a subsidiary of the Trumpf group. It is ideally positioned to serve the mid-tier market - sitting alongside the Trumpf range of innovative, integrated energy efficient machinery JFY provides the right options for any sized manufacturer,” says Imran Mustafa, JFY national accounts manager. “By filling a void in the market users of JFY machinery can be assured that they are using quality products that incorporate and benefit from Trumpf technology, reliability and innovation.” Mr Mustafa says that the range includes press brake bending, turret punching, guillotine shearing and laser cutting machinery. “In the laser machines, the laser resonater is actually a Trumpf TruDisk, featuring the same technology as their German-made machines,” he says, explaining that although JFY machines are manufactured in China they are done so under expatriate management using Trumpf quality control systems. Key components in these machines are, in fact, made in Germany. He has recently returned from a visit to the Chinese factory, and was blown away by the facility that he says would not look out of place if it was located in Europe.
