DIGITAL EDITION AN EXPLOSION OF MULTIMEDIA CONTENT What is a digital edition? The digital edition of Engineering News or NZEN eMag is an electronic magazine (eMag) designed to give its readers benefits beyond the print edition through multimedia content. What is multimedia? Engineering News aims to deliver a unique experience by offering rich content in the form of video, photo-galleries, audio, eMotion and interactive functionality to give you a dynamic multimedia experience. The functions are represented by these icons (see figure 1). Requirements to view eMag • A computer or laptop with either Windows or Mac operating system. • Internet access with an up to date internet browser ie. Chrome, Internet Explorer or Safari. Note: Most browsers have Flash player built in, although in the event that your browser needs to update its flash player, simply click on the icon (see figure 2). Some browsers suppress Flash until it is needed, simply select the appropriate button (see figure 3). Flash is safe for your PC/Mac. • eMag is able to operate on other devices like tablets and smart phones, but some functionality is limited due to incompatibility of the device to use Flash player.
