While these processes and systems are recognised within their industries, they are often not recognised by a formal external qualification. He contacted Jacqui Lyders from Competenz to find out if he could get qualified for his extensive experience.  The request resulted in John achieving a Level 4 Certificate in Competitive Manufacturing – Facilitators Strand, in recognition of his in-house experience. “It’s one of those things that you do and become excellent at but did not get qualified on paper. The same goes for my co-workers here at NZAS. Some have ten years plus of experience in Six Sigma and have worked on various projects where the principles of lean manufacturing are embedded, but they don’t have a formal qualification,” John says. The alignment process resulted in nationally recognised qualifications for NZAS operational teams. If you would like to get qualified for your experience, contact Competenz at 0800 526 1800 or learn more at www.competenz.org.nz. Every special operation needs special equipment that gets the job done, and when it comes to your helmet, Sentinel is worn by the best; crucial comfort, large lens and superior clarity.
