With a self-wicking media, the sample spreads itself to the edges of the 47mm plate, allowing for consistent and repeatable distribution. The plates are robust and stackable, and colonies can easily be counted by hand or with a Charm auto plate-reader. Their versatility allows them to be used for a number of other applications such as environmental sampling or air-quality testing. Peel Plates are specific for a number of different microorganisms. Included in the expanding product range are Total Aerobic Count, E.Coli/Coliform, Yeast and Mould, Coliform, Heterotroph and Enterobacter plates. Also available are high volume plates which allow for greater sensitivity of detection.
