The Auckland-based team is led by Sean Bamford, backed up by John McIntyre in the South Island. Bamford spent many years working for Ecolab, servicing the food industry, before joining Wells. He is a qualified chef with a diploma in Kitchen Management from City and Guilds of London, and has worked in various establishments throughout New Zealand, England and France over a 15-year period in large commercial kitchens through to smaller restaurants. McIntyre has 25 years’ sales experience in the meat and food processing industry in both New Zealand, Britain and Australia. He has also worked with companies such as the Alliance Group, and in the meat industry working in and supplying to. He has extensive knowledge of the fish, poultry, fruit and dairy industries, developed through working with companies operating in and servicing these processing sectors. Internal customer service is also a big focus of Wells Hygiene and this is provided by Sue Garbutt, based in the Wiri HQ.
