44 Annual Directory 2017 VESTNER Vestner NZ, formally Pandect, is a well-established Christchurch- based company with over 20 years’ experience in the design and manufacture of platform lifts and elevators. Over this period Vestner has designed, improved and developed its lifts to meet the requirements of access provision for both commercial premises and private residences in alignment with NZ Standard 4334:2012. The launch last year of the MAXIS through floor enclosed platform lift is evidence of the company’s engineering expertise in designing and manufacturing lifts that simply bolt to the ground, thereby requiring minimal build works. Vestner offers a selection of practical design models which cater for a wide range of applications and built environments. Models cover different weight lift capacities, platform sizes and configurations along with the company's ability to customise lifts to suit particular locations or client requirements. Vestner lifts are also exported to Australia where they are equally seen as a quality product offering a reliable and safe means of access. Vestner’s Auckland branch - formally NZ Engineering Services – complements New Zealand-made products with imported European lifts as well as lift servicing and modernisation and maintenance programmes. WYMA SOLUTIONS Wyma Solutions designs, manufactures, distributes and services post-harvest vegetable equipment and solutions worldwide. Its product range includes equipment to tip, receive, remove waste, brush, wash, polish, peel, cool, dry, convey, grade, size and pack vegetables as well as complete dry, wash or pre-pack line solutions. Wyma prides itself on its capability to offer full line turnkey solutions. This sees the company not merely providing individual pieces of equipment in the line but integration equipment including support structures, conveyors, electrical integration and programming. This holistic offering has seen the company enjoy the status of being an award winning exporter with a reputation for operational excellence, quality and innovative product design. Wyma started out with the invention of the Vege-Polisher back in the early 1990. This constituted a turning point in the international root vegetable industry. However, the business has become so much more since its advent as Vege-Polisher now as demand for full packhouse solutions grows around the world. In line with the times, the company has adopted the ‘lean’ philosophy to streamline internal processes and minimise waste while creating a work environment based on trust, communication and continuous improvement. A spokesperson says this philosophy has definitively enhanced Wyma’s ability to deliver quality products efficiently and within tight timeframes.
