In fact we are just as accurate on a shop floor as we are in a metrology lab,” says one customer. Joseph agrees and says larger companies that have fixed coordinate measurement machines (CMM) run into the issue of too many people wishing to use the CMM. This results in a bottleneck and a backlog of jobs that need to be done. To free up those jobs the MetraScan and/or HandyProbe Next is used and taken to the parts, rather than taking the part to the fixed CMM, saving the customer time and getting more jobs done in the process.
