the manual machine to the CNC machine without training and do all of the basic stuff that they were doing on the manual machine but they can add on, step by step, some of the CNC functions – adding electronic stops, drilling PCDs or a pocket or a slot, and as soon as they’ve got through that small curve they’ll basically be able to run any of the cycles that are available on the machine. “As soon as they get on these products we have the same guys doing the same stuff as before, but they can do all these different shapes and tricky work very quickly. If you wanted to do tapers and radiuses you’d have to set up rotary tables and there’s some very clever guys who can make anything on a manual mill but it’s not effective. These machines will power around all those jobs,” Christian says. So, alongside the ProtoTRAK products that have been tried and tested in New Zealand workshops and training facilities for the past few years, Christian says that the new ProtoTRAK 2-OP is a real advance in technology and productivity. Take this opportunity to create cost-efficiencies with a machine that will pay for itself in a very short time. As well as stocking the ProtoTRAK range Scott Machinery also offers full training and after sale service. SCOTT MACHINERY WILL LAUNCH AND DEMONSTRATE THE PROTOTRAK 2-OP AT EMEX.
